Robbie's secret dance album

ROBBIE WILLIAMS is secretly recording a dance album – and plans to release tracks under a false name.
The singer has already been in the studio with dancefloor favourites the PET SHOP BOYS and also MADONNA’s super producer WILLIAM ORBIT. He has recorded a couple of tracks with each of them and some others with hot New York-based DJ MARK RONSON.
Robbie told pals he wanted to make a “Kylie-style” album with more upbeat pop/dance tracks.
He is planning to release songs featuring the new sound under a pseudonym before putting the album out in August this year.
A source close to Robbie said: “Rob’s last album Intensive Care was much more rocky with heavy guitar riffs. Some people around him felt it might not have appealed so much to his camp pop audience. So he decided to do a dance album.
“Rob went into the studio with William Orbit to work on some tracks then also with Pet Shop Boys NEIL TENNANT and CHRIS LOWE.
“He wanted the album to have really upbeat songs like the ones Kylie had on Fever, such as Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.”
Orbit co-wrote and produced Madonna’s multi-million selling Ray Of Light album in 1998, which gave the Queen Of Pop a new electronica sound and reignited her career.
He also wrote the classic hit Pure Shores for recently reformed girl band ALL SAINTS.
The Pet Shop Boys are hot property too, doing a belting remix of Madge’s past single, Sorry, and with a new album of their own, Fundamental, out next month.
One music industry source who has heard Robbie’s newly recorded tracks described them as “brilliant and different”.
The new dance project comes on top of a busy year for the singer.
I told you yesterday how Robbie will turn up to perform with his old mates in TAKE THAT at some of their Manchester dates. He is also rehearsing for his own world tour, which kicks off in Britain later this year.
And he’s training like mad for next month’s Soccer Aid. Robbie is leading a team of footie-mad celebs in a televised pre-World Cup match to raise money for Unicef. He will also perform a set at POSH and BECKS’ World Cup ball for charity.
My source added: “Rob has no idea how to relax, so he keeps himself busy with work.”
No Lazy Days ahead for Rob then.

L'album dance segreto di Robbie

Il tabloid ""the Sun" quest'oggi ipotizza per Robbiel'uscita di un album dance in Agosto,ma sotto falso nome. Robbie avrebbe già registrato numerose tracce di questo album con il contributo di artisti di grosso calibro del settore come William Orbit, i Pet Shop Boys e Chris Lowe.
Sempre in questo articolo si descrive un Robbie impegnatissimo su differenti fronti:oltre alle prove per il suo tour, l'ipotetica apparizione sul palco con i Take That, il Soccer Aid ci sarebbe in programma una performance al ballo di beneficenza in occasione dei Mondiali di calcio, organizzato dai coniugi Beckham.
Insomma secondo queste fonti Robbie non saprebbe come trascorrere il tempo libero e cercherebbe quindi di impegnarsi in più progetti per non annoiarsi.

"Robbie WILL join us"

GARY BARLOW has confirmed ROBBIE WILLIAMS will join TAKE THAT on tour – just as I told you.
And I can also reveal it won’t be a one-off gig.
I promised you ten days ago that Robbie would perform live with the boys at their Manchester homecoming.
And, hot and sweaty off stage from their opening night in Newcastle on Sunday, Gary told me: “Robbie is doing more than one gig.
“I don’t know which dates, but he has told MARK OWEN he is definitely coming back.”
Robbie appeared as a hologram in Newcastle singing Could It Be Magic after he re-recorded his vocals.
Gary added: “It was our idea to do the hologram and Robbie was well up for it. We worried people would be disappointed when Rob didn’t appear from behind the hologram, but it went down well.”
The lads told me they enjoyed the first night so much they are planning a new album and a European tour next year.And JASON ORANGE revealed they want Robbie to collaborate on the CD.
HOWARD DONALD, Gary, Mark and Jason have already written new tracks and want to release the material in time for Christmas.
Jason said: “It would be great if Rob wrote with us. We let Gary write all the songs before and he walked away with all the money.
“This time it’s going to be an equal split — as it should have been the last time around.”

Il tabloid "The Sun" riporta oggi l'ennesima voce secondo la quale probabilmente i TT per una data sola saranno di nuovo in 5!Secondo quanto dichiarato da Gary sembrerebbe che Robbie parteciperà ad alcune date del tour the TT ,"The Ultimate Tour".
Che Robbie quindi non sia solo un ologramma ma che per stavolta sia davvero back for good?

Thomas Golseth (Robbie Williams' Tour Accountant) has posted on his blog some interesting dettails about the Close Encounters Tour's Summer Leg.
"Everyone is back in the UK now. More rehearsal. Well, more production rehearsal. We took a "b" stage set down to South Africa and Dubai, a very different show than the one that will be seen in Europe and the UK. For the next 6 weeks, the production team will be putting together the new set, programming the lights and video, and the band will get a chance to get the feel of it all.
Trust me, it is going to be a big show and unlike anything we have done before.
Now, if we could only get the same weather we had in Cape Town..."

"Siamo tutti tornati in Inghilterra adesso. Altre prove.
Per gli show del Sud Africa e di Dubai è stato usato il palco "b", mentre gli show che vedrete in Europa ed in Uk saranno molto diversi.
Nelle prossime 6 settimane il team di produzione dovra organizzare il nuovo set, programmare le luci e i video, dopodichè la band collaudera il tutto. credetemi, sara uno show mai visto e realizzato prima.
Un'ultima cosa, se solo potessimo avere lo stesso tempo che abbiamo avuto a Città del Capo..."

The 25,000 capacity crowd screamed uncontrollably as the lights went down at Nad Al Sheba at 9pm. The waiting was finally over - and everyone knew that one of the world's greatest showmen was just about to rock the stage here in Dubai.
Dramatic Robbie shots flashed on the giant screens and the tension reached almost breaking point.
And then it happened. The desperation for tickets on March 8, the media reports, the joy and excitement of finally getting tickets, the controversy over forged and black market tickets were all forgiven and forgotten as the man himself appeared in a jet of smoke at the end of a runway stage.
The heat from eight giant flames could be felt across the venue as far back as the grandstand as Williams launched into song with Radio.
The crowd literally went wild as he came into focus dressed in a pair of jeans, a knee-length, buttoned jacket and trainers.
And it wasn't just about the songs as Robbie continued to vary the show with jokes, conversation, audience interaction and even jibes at J-Lo, who yesterday announced she is mysteriously postponing her concert in Dubai for around a month.
"Because she couldn't sell any tickets," Williams coughed under his breath.
People of all ages enjoyed the show and many people commented it was well organised by promoters Midas and sponsor The One.
And even though the concert "sold out" in three hours on March 8, tickets were still being sold at the venue - but you make up your own mind about that!
Williams performed all the expected hits such as Rock DJ, Let Me Entertain You and Angels.
Billed as the biggest concert in the UAE, Robbie, who performed for just over two hours, added the date in Dubai as part of his Close Encounters world tour.

Incontro ravvicinato con Robbie

I 25.000 spettatori del concerto di Dubai sono letteralmente impazziti non appena Robbie è apparso sul palco al Nad Al Sheba stadium alle 9 in punto di giovedì 21 aprile. L'attesa era finalmente finita e il più grande showman del pianeta ha infiammato il palco di Dubai.
Tutte le stressanti vicessitudini per accappararsi gli ultimi biglietti rimasti sono passate in secondo piano una volta che Robbie è apparso sul palco avvolto da nubi di fumo.La prima canzone è stata la hit Radio, il re del pop era vestito con jeans e cappotto lungo.
Rob non ha intrattenuto il suo pubblico solo cantando, ha parlato, scherzato e interagito con l'audience per tutta la durata del concerto, accenando ironicamente anche al fatto che Jennifer Lopez abbia cancellato il suo concerto a Dubai perchè non era riuscita a vendere tutti i biglietti.
Alternando le sue più famose hit a grandi successi del passato ha intrattenuto grandi e piccini per più di due ore e senza dubbio Dubai gli ha dimostrato tutta la sua gratitudine per averla inserita come tappa nel suo tour mondiale Close encounters 2006 (che letteralmente significa: Incontri Ravvicinati).

Pretoria - gig number three

Feeling sheepish from ten hours on the fizz. No police escort what? Rob in chopper, us in vans. To the biggest show yet. Sixty grand of people. Not as vertiginous as Durban. But try using your zoom in this place. You get nowhere.
Backstage watching Chelsea beat Everton (3-0). Gerry the bass being questioned in the showers. "Tell me you sausage - what are your favourite crisps?
Then it's chucking out time. Walking to the stage with the heavenly host. The 40 second countdown. Flame. The crowd are so loud. Crash. Into Radio. Let's go! The band are on fire. It feels like a high. Rob is on form. And I get an introduction. "Coco. DJ. Cos that's how I like to get down. I don't know what that means..."
Then it's the end. Angels. We bow three times. I can't hear the count. The crowd are still so loud. Off. Do a runner. Best one yet? You bet.More pics on Chris Coco's Journal.

DJ Coco scrive che Rob è arrivato allo stadio in elicottero mentre il resto della band cpn i furgoncini, per il più grande show fin’ora. Nel backstage hanno guardato la partita Chelsea-Everton e scherzato nelle docce.
Ecco le sue sensazioni:
Camminare sul palco con il divino Rob. I 40 secondi di countdown. Fiamme. La folla urla tantissimo. Fracasso. Radio. Andiamo! La band è in fiamme. E’ uno sballo. Rob è in forma. E io vengo presentato: “Coco. DJ. Perché così è come mi piace scatenarmi. Non so che significhi…”

Robbie cracks up Gauteng

Robbie Williams attempted to break a world record at his concert last night when he asked 61 000 people to burp simultaneously.
He kept the audience at Loftus Versfeld dancing as well as laughing for almost three hours with his on stage antics.
Amongst the jokes made were jokes about Michael Jackson, his former band mates of Take That and Mick Jagger. Williams wondered aloud how the “106 year-old” rock star still manages to perform.
He also asked a woman in the front to bare her rather abnormally large breasts, which she did to the whole stadium. Williams was so ecstatic that he said he wanted to get the DVD of the concert.
Williams had everyone singing karaoke-style to all of his songs. During Strong, the giant screens featured gigantic scrolling lyrics so everybody could sing along.
Amidst clouds of smoke and fire, Williams rose up from under the protruding stage to start the show. Balls of fire shot out from the stage during the songs Radio and Let Me Entertain You and the heat from the flames could be felt outside golden circle.
During his stay in South Africa, Williams filmed a music video in Cape Town and used 18 of South Africa’s hottest models. Williams said that he had never seen so many beautiful women as he did in South Africa but was sad to discover that most of them had boyfriends.
He also denied press reports that he did not want to meet Madiba. “Viva Nelson Mandela!” he then said. Williams said South Africa had treated him and his crew so well that he couldn’t express how he felt about the country. So he simply said: “South Africa rocks!”
Besides for his lively stage performance, Williams had the crowd hysterical with laughter after showing the crowd his Blue Steel face and the face of a horny giraffe.
Amongst the songs that he performed were Millennium, Advertising Space, Come Undone, Rock DJ and Feel.
Williams ended the concert with his love song Angels. A song which took him only thirty minutes to write but which tens of thousands of South Africans will remember for a life time.

Rob ha cercato di battere il record mondiale ieri sera, quando ha chiesto a 61.000 persone di ruttare simultaneamente.
Per quasi tre ore ha fatto ballare e ridere il pubblico, con battute e gags su Micheal Jackson, i Take That, Mick Jagger, i seni enormi di una ragazza e facendo facce buffe come la giraffa arrapata.
Tra nuvole di fumo, fiamme e karaoke lo spettacolo è stato eccezionale.
Durante il soggiorno in Sud Africa Robbie ha anche girato un nuovo video e ha negato di non aver voluto incontrare Mandela.

Local models star in Robbie video

Seventeen models were tucked into dormitory beds after frolicking with pop sensation Robbie Williams in an apple orchard, riding tractors and doing yoga at his side.
The models starred in Williams’s latest music video filmed in Cape Town this week — featuring the British singer as a guru worshipped by beautiful Bohemian women.
The video for the upbeat Sin Sin Sin, the third hit single from his album Intensive Care, was shot on the eve of the South African leg of his much hyped Let Me Entertain You 2006 world tour.
Scenes for the video were shot at Oak Valley Estate nestled in Elgin Valley outside Cape Town, inside and in the back yard of deceased mining tycoon Brett Kebble’s Monterey Mansion in Bishopscourt, and at the Marsh Memorial Children’s Home in Rondebosch.
Andrew Brown, a newspaper photographer who witnessed the filming at Oak Valley Estate, said: “Robbie is portrayed as a sort of guru surrounded by women worshipping him. At the beginning they had flat bellies which grew — so they seemed pregnant towards the end.
“Robbie seemed nice enough and the girls didn’t seem too fazed about working with him,” he said.
Williams had his own trailer at the filming location but joined the rest of the cast and crew for lunch.
Ken McKenzie of production company McKenzie Rudolphe, which facilitated the filming, did not respond to questions about the video from the Sunday Times.
But witnesses told the Sunday Times that Williams, whose upcoming Cape Town and Pretoria concerts sold out in just seven hours, was whisked around in a silver Mercedes-Benz flanked by two cars full of security officers.
Video scenes filmed at Oak Valley Estate on Wednesday showed the models and Williams in an apple orchard, riding on a tractor and playing games.
Williams was filmed getting into a Rolls-Royce in the back yard of Monterey Mansion on Thursday. Scenes with smoke effects and flower petals were filmed in a bedroom in the mansion.
Scenes showing models doing yoga, cleaning a corridor with a vacuum cleaner, and being put to bed in a dormitory were filmed at Marsh Memorial Children’s Home on Friday. “We were all very happy about the way things were done. The children weren’t moved out,” said a childcare worker at the home, where about 60 children between the ages of two and 11 live.
The video was directed by Vaughan Arnell, the man behind the controversial video for Williams’s single Rock DJ, which featured the pop star prancing around and peeling off his own flesh, which is eaten by women.
Williams launched his solo career after splitting from boy band Take That in the late ’90s.
A highly publicised battle with drugs and alcohol followed, until he eventually checked himself into a rehabilitation facility.
The pop star stuck to his new, clean lifestyle while in Cape Town. He was spotted by a waitress drinking mineral water at the Planet Bar, adjoining the Mount Nelson Hotel. Other witnesses saw Williams savouring peppermint tea on the hotel’s patio and washing down curry with bottled water at Bukhara, an Indian restaurant in central Cape Town.

Venerdì all'orfanotrofio Marsh Memorial sono state filmate scene che ritraevano le modelle che facevano yoga, che pulivano un corridoio con un aspirapolvere e che venivano messe a letto in un dormitorio. "Siamo stati tutti molto contenti di come sono state fatte le cose. I bambini non sono stati fatti evaquare", ha detto un'assistente del centro dove vivono circa 60 bambini di età compresa tra i due e gli undici anni.
Il video è stato girato da Vaughan Arnell, l'artefice del controverso video del singolo di Rock Dj che vede la popstar pavoneggiarsi e staccarsi la propria carne, che viene mangiata da delle donne.
Williams ha iniziato la sua carriera solista dopo aver abbandonato la boyband Take That nei tardi anni '90.
Ne è seguita una ipernota battaglia contro le droghe e l'alcool, finché alla fine non si è ricoverato in un centro di riabilitazione.
La popstar si è attenuta al suo nuovo, pulito stile di vita mentre era a Città del Capo. E' stato visto bere acqua naturale al Planet Bar attiguo al Mount Nelson Hotel. Altri testimoni hanno visto Williams bere thè alla menta piperita nel patio dell'hotel e aiutarsi a mandare giù del curry con una bottiglia d'acqua al Bukhara, un ristorante indiano nel centro di CIttà del Capo.

ROBBIE Williams was blasted last night by church leaders in his home town for “trivialising” the Crucifixion.
Robbie, 32, had needles pushed through his outspread arms on TV’s Derren Brown: Mind Control. Channel 4 said it was a magic trick with no mention of crucifixion.
But the Rev Ian Gregory of Stoke-on-Trent, West Mids, said: “To trivialise the most important event in history is unforgivable.”

Robbie williams è stato accusato dai capi della chiesa della sua città natale di aver banalizzato un evento religiosamente importante come la crocifissione. Robbie si è fatto trafiggere le braccia con degli spilli dall'illusionista Derren Brown nello spettacolo "Mind Control", andato in onda proprio la sera di Pasqua; Channel 4 dal canto suo parla di trucchi magici e non di crocifissione.
Ma il reverendo Ian Gregory di Stoke on Tren replica: "Banalizzare l'evento piu importante della storia della religione è una cosa imperdonabile!"
