Mark Ronson makes a blazing return on April 16th with Version - his dazzling, culture-clashing new solo LP that finds 12 classic tracks turned on their head and recreated into visionary floor-fillers. Joined by the likes of Robbie Williams and Lily Allen, the eagerly awaited LP is a musical masterstroke and looks set to be the highlight of 2007.
Featuring Dirt McGirt (aka ODB) spitting verse on Britney's Toxic, Coldplay's God Put A Smile Upon Your Face getting the once over, plus a glorious reworking of The Jam's Pretty Green with vocals by up-and-coming singer Santo Gold, it's already on heavy rotation across the club circuit and marks the second coming of Britain's most successful ex-pat DJ/producer.
Another album highlight is the soulful, stellar Motown revival of The Smiths' classic 'Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before' that merges into 'You Just Keep Me Hanging On' and features the vocals of Australian talent Daniel Merriweather.
A man whose musical vision and verve transcends seasons and genres, this is the ideal re-introduction to the man whose production credits this year include Christina Aguilera, Robbie Williams, Lily Allen, Ghostface Killah, Amy Winehouse and his Allido protégés Rhymefest & Daniel Merriweather.
"With my first album, I had all these people like Mos Def and M.O.P guesting. This time it's not about that. Despite the big names, it's about the songs?the songs here are the guest stars," says Mark. "With Version I've taken these songs that I love and turned them into Motown/Stax 70's versions. I keep the utmost respect and appreciation for the original versions of songs I use. It's not like I'm thinking it's a shit song that I can make good, it's more like it's a great song and I'm now going to make it bounce."
The album Version is released on April 16th.

Mark Ronson fa il suo ritorno il 16 aprile con Version, il suo nuovo album solista composto da dodici intramontabili classici tramutati in visionari "riempipista". Con la collaborazione di artisti come Robbie Williams e Lily ALlen, questo album tanto atteso è un capolavoro musicale ed è destinato ad essere uno dei più memorabili dell'anno. Robbie and Ronson take on The Charlatans...

Is there no end to Robbie's talents? He's nailed pop, electro, rap, soul and swing and now with a little help from producer mate Mark Ronson, Robbie's taking a step back to 1990 when everything was baggy.
Robbie has recorded a version of The Only One I Know, an early single from indie heroes The Charlatans. The track appears on Version, the forthcoming album project from NYC-based producer Mark, who was behind a handful of tracks on Robbie's Rudebox album.
To celebrate Robbie's collaboration with Mark, we'll be giving away five copies of Version signed by Mark Ronson himself over on RobbieWilliams.com. Robbie will play against Des Moines Menace...

Later this month Robbie will be heading over to Des Moines,Iowa, Usa. But he wont be performing any of his chart-topping hits, he will be playing football as part of a team called the LA Vale.
LA Vale, a team of athletes and celebrities (including Santiago Cabrera from Tv show Heroes), is based in LA and will be taking on Des Moines Menace in an exhibition game of football on April 21st at the Cownie Soccer Complex in Iowa.
Seth Modersohn, who is former Menace Star, is now part of the LA Vale team and returns to face the team of Des Moines, the team he was once the capitan of.
The match takes place on Saturday, 21st April at 19.00 (central time)...let the battle commence!

LA Vale vs DM Menace

April 6, 2007 - Musical artist Robbie Williams, who has sold more albums in the United Kingdom than any other British solo artist in history, and who has remained the best selling male artist in the world since 1998, will be invading Des Moines not to play music, but to play soccer. 
An avid soccer fan and part owner of Port Vale Football Club, a professional soccer team in England, Williams is part of a soccer team of celebrities and athletes in Los Angeles – called the LA Vale – that will be coming to Des Moines’ Cownie Soccer Complex on Saturday April 21 at 7 p.m. for an exhibition game against the Des Moines Menace. 
Former Menace star and Des Moines native, Seth Modersohn, is a member of the LA Vale and comes back to Des Moines to face the team he once captained. 

Other notable LA Vale team members include: 
- British singer Oliver Trevena, who is also rumored to be dating former “American Idol” winner, Carrie Underwood. 
- Actor Santiago Cabrera, current star of NBC’s primetime show, “Heroes.” 
- Actor Richard Jenik, who has appeared in shows such as “West Wing,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Desperate Housewives.” 
- Plus, professional model Rocco Santangelo.

Date: Saturday, April 21, 2007

Fanatico del pallone e proprietario della società calcistica del Port Vale, Robbie prenderà parte alla partita di beneficenza tra celebrità e atleti di Los Angeles - chiamata la LA Vale - che si terrà il 21 aprile alle 19 al Soccer Complex di Des Moines.

Tra le altre celebrità che dovrebbero prendere parte al match ci sono: 
- Il cantante inglese Oliver Trevena, il quale tra l'altro si mormora stia uscendo con la vincitrice di American Idol, Carrie Underwood.
