Two More Videos and Singles from the album RUDEBOX

It is now confirmed that there will be two more videos and singles for the album "rudebox". France will work on Bongo Bong while most other European countries will release "She's Madonna". There are rumours that Rob might appear at the one or other big TV show in the first quarter of 2007. Also 2007 will see the release of a new Swing Album which Rob has been working on for the past few months.

E' confermato che ci saranno due nuovi singoli dall'album "rudebox". In Francia uscirà Bongo Bong mentre tutti gli altri paesi avranno She's Madonna. Ci sono anche delle indiscrezioni sulla presenza di Robbie in uno o piu show televisivi nei primi mesi dell'anno 2007. Sempre nel 2007 sarà realizzato anche il nuovo album swing a cui Robbie ha lavorato negli ultimi mesi.

You took a break on this tour before Australia. What happened?
It was precautionary. My head unscrambled and I needed to put it back together again.

Melbourne is the end of your entire tour.
Its the absolute arse end of the tour. Great place to finish. I'll be selecting members of the audience to sample.

There were rumours you went to the Priory for depression.
Not true. I've never been to the Priory. I expected myself to be Superman this year. I expected too much of myself and needed a break, not because I'd relapsed or I was depressed. I was purely exhausted. Every time you get on stage you expect the mechanism for performance to be there. I'd done that many shows to that many people thats its just physics. Somethings got to give. I got up on stage one night and went, "Oh its not here" and I shit myself and developed stage fright. It was awful. It was through exhaustion.

OK, so no Priory..
The Priory can go f*** themselves. They're awful. Its supposed to be a place where people can go to get well, whether its Robbie Williams or Robert Smith down the road. Not Robert Smith of The Cure. I'm not suggesting he goes there. Or needs to.

Your album Rudebox is getting quite a divisive reaction.
Its caused quite a brouhaha in England. They're saying its had bad reviews, but I've had
great reviews from places I've never had a decent review for any album. Others have slagged me off from day one. They haven't changed. One has to think with England, do I ply my trade elsewhere or batter the door down and prove everybody wrong again?

You seem less eager to please the masses on this album. There's no big usual Robbie anthems.
I'm still eager. If you dont want to please people, keep it to yourself. The reason I'm here and doing what I'm doing is because people enjoy what I do. People say, "Did you become famous because of lack of love?" No, I got a feeling from early on that what I did I was good at and I wanted to excel in it. The same if I was a mathematician. If I was good at it I'd figure more sums out.

Are you bothered by people still questioning your songwriting input?
I read, "Robbie needs songwriters, he doesnt write song". Maybe I couldn't actually build the house , but I can do the interior, or vice versa. Either which way I'm a songwriter and thats what I do.

Is it true you were offered to be on Take Thats's comeback album?
Um...I thing there was an offer there, but they completely understood from my side where I was at and what I was doing. Being on the tour I was on, there simply wasnt time.

Is it strange watching Take That back on tout and in the charts?
Its a weird predicament to be in. I genuinely feel for those lads, I want the album and the single to be a massive success, and subsequent tours and albums, if they deem fit to do them. I really want it to work for them, but I also dint want to do it. I've made my peace with it all. Its not like watching Take That. Its like watching another band.

The 90's on Rudebox is your upteenth song about Take That. Is that it now?
I've exorcised the demons. I cant go on about it any more, unless I write a song about how at peace i am with the whole Take That thing.

Good Doctor details how you've swapped illegal drugs for prescription drugs. For how long have you been sober?
Six years on December the something or other. You're never out of the woods with that stuff. I still have an addictive nature regarding everything, whetjher its the X-box or prescriptive medication or drugs. Pandora's box is always ready to be opened again. Its not that I'm thrilled about not having a drink for six years, but its like, "OK, thats happening in a bit, this is today"

You've said the anti-depressants you take make you fat...
Yeah. It depends what kind of body type you are. It gets on my tits. Half of my job-more than half of it- is to look good. If you don't feel like you look good, your jobs difficult, especially when your job is mainly being in stage for the world to see- and being criticised.

You wrote a song about Noel and Liam Gallagher of Oasis that recently got leaked to the media.
I did a song in 2000 when we were all slagging each other off as a joke one afternoon. We had a laugh, but is a shit song and its embarrassing. Thats why nobody's ever heard it. I found the CD in my flat and uploaded it to my computer. Three weeks later the srpry came out.I seem to be the only person who has a copy of it, so someones either been in my flat or in my computer. Thats scary.

You sent an apology.
Yeah just to let them know it wasn't any wrongdoing from my side. It didn't need to be out there. Whatever they choose to do with that information is up to them.

Please let this rumour be true-you've never had sex in your house in LA because it would "contaminate" it.
I did say that. I have had sex in my LS house, but going on tour is not like real life at all. That's why its dangerous. You're set in a set of extreme circumstances that makes one act and behave in a way you normally wouldn't. I dint really have sex in LA. I'm quieter happy pottering about in my house and going to bed by myself. But on tour, when you've got 90,000 people screaming at you and you're pretending you think you're sexy on stage and they're believing it - I want to sleep with them.

Another rumour says you're sick of sleeping with non famous people who sell their stories.
I've slept with quite a few people and an extremely small percentage of those people were famous. But a few did become famous after.

Giravano voci che fossi ricoverato alla clinica Priory per depressione.
Non è vero. Non sono stato mai al Priory. Quest'anno ho commesso l'errore di credermi Superman. Ho preteso troppo da me e avevo bisogno di una pausa, e non perchè ho avuto una ricaduta o ero depresso. Ero semplicemente esausto. Ogni volta che salgo sul palco mi aspetto che scatti un determinato meccanismo per la performance. Ho fatto troppi show davanti a così tante persone ed era davvero impegnativo dal punto di vista fisico. Una sera sono salito sul palco e quel meccanismo non è scattato coì mi sono spaventato e ho sviluppato una specie di terrore per il palco. E' stato terribile. E' stato a causa della stanchezza.

Ok, quindi non c'è stato nessun Priory.
Quelli del Priory possono andare a farsi fottere. Sono terribili. Dovrebbe essere un posto in cui la gente va per stare meglio, sia che siano Robbie Williams o Robert Smith, che sta in fondo alla strada. Non Robert Smith dei Cure. Non gli sto suggerendo di andarci o che avrebbe bisogno di andarci.

Il tuo album Rudebox sta suscitando reazioni alquanto diverse.
Ha quasi scatenato un putiferio in Inghilterra. Dicono che abbia ricevuto delle recensioni negative, ma ho ottenuto dei giudizi oltremodo positivi anche da coloro i quali non avevano mai giudicato buoni i miei precedenti lavori. Altri invece mi si sono accaniti contro fin dal primo giorno. E non hanno cambiato idea. Uno dovrebbe pensare con l'Inghilterra, che faccio provo a vendere altrove o dimostro a tutti che si sono sbagliati ancora una volta?

Con questo album sei sembrato meno desideroso di compiacere le masse. Non ci sono i soliti grandi "inni" tipici di Robbie.
Sono ancora desideroso di compiacere il pubblico. Il motivo per cui sono qui e che faccio questo mestiere è perchè la gente ama quello che faccio. La gente mi chiede se sono diventato famoso per mancanza di amore, ma in realtà è che fin dagli inizi ho capito che ero veramente bravo in quello che facevo e volevo eccellere in quel campo. Sarebbe stato lo stesso se fossi stato un matematico.

Sei stufo della gente che mette in dubbio il tuo talento di songwriter?
Leggo, “Robbie ha bisogno dei songwriter perchè lui non sa scrivere canzoni da solo...„. Forse non potrei realmente costruire la "casa", ma posso fare gli "interni", o viceversa. In un modo o nell'altro sono un autore di canzoni ed è esattamente quello che faccio.

E' vero che ti era stato offerto di partecipare all'album di ritorno dei Take That?
Uhm... diciamo che c'è stata una specie di offerta ma loro hanno compreso pienamente il fatto che non avevo il tempo di partecipare visto che ero impegnato nel m io tour mondiale.

È stato strano per te assistere al ritorno dei Take That in tour e nelle classifiche?
E' una situazione difficile e strana. Auguro di cuore ai ragazzi che l'album e il singolo abbiamo grande successo, ed i successivi tour e album se decideranno di realizzarne. Voglio veramente che funzionino ma allo stesso tempo non vorrei mai farlo. Ho fatto pace con questa cosa: per me ora non è come guardare i take that ma un'altra band.

La canzone The 90's nell'album Rudebox è la tua ennesima canzone dedicata ai take that?
Ho esorcizzato i miei demoni. Non andrò più avanti su questo argomento fino a che non scriverò una canzone su come io ora sia in pace con me stesso sull'argomento Take That.

Good Doctor racconta come scambiavi le droghe illegali con quelle prescritte dai medici. Da quanto tempo oramai sei sobrio?
A dicembre saranno all'incirca sei anni. Ma non si finisce mai di lottare con questo tipo di dipendenza. Diciamo che ho una natura che tende alla dipendenza con qualsiasi tipo di cosa, dalla x-box alle medicine alle droghe. Il vaso di pandora è smepre lì che aspetta di essere di nuovo aperto.

Hai dichiarato che gli antidepressivi che prendi ti fanno ingrassare.
Sì, dipende dal tuo corpo. Più della metà del mio lavoro è avere un bell'aspetto e se senti di non averlo, lavorare diventa difficile, soprattutto quando si è esposti alle critiche su un palco per un Tour mondiale.

Hai scritto una canzone su Noel e Liam Gallagher.
Ho fatto una canzone nel 2000 quando ci insultavamo l'un l'altro per divertimento. Ci siamo fatti una risata ma è una brutta canzome e mi imbarazza molto. Per questo motivo nessuno l'ha mai sentita. Ho trovato il CD nel mio appartamento e lo messa sul mio PC. Sembra fossi la sola persona ad averne una copia, quindi o qualcuno è entrato nel mio appartamento o nel mio computer. Questa cosa mi spaventa un pò!

Sì, solo per far loro sapere che io non avevo fatto nulla di sbagliato. Qualsiasi cosa vogliano fare con quella informazione sta a loro decidere.

Per piacere non rinnegare il pettegolezzo per cui tu non hai mai fatto sesso nella tua casa di LA pechè la contaminerebbe?
Sì l'ho detto. Ho fatto sesso nella mia casa di LA, ma quando sei in tour non è la vita reale.Ecco perchè è pericoloso.Ti trovi in situazioni in cui fai e dici cose che normalmente non farsti o diresti mai.Non ho davvero mai fatto sesso a LA. Sono abbastanza felice la sera di andare a letto da solo. Ma quando ti esibisci davanti a 90000 persone che urlano e credono tu sia sexy e te lo fanno credere, ecco..allora vorrei andare a letto con loro.

C'è un'altra voce ruguardante il fatto che tu sia stanco di passare le notti con persone non famose che corrono a vendere la loro storia.
Ho dormito con poche persone, e una piccola percentuale di queste era famosa. Ma alcune lo sono diventate dopo

The Coke and Walkers deals come as Wembley confirmed its first event yesterday, a gig by Muse on June 16. There are also unconfirmed plans for a concert the week before, possibly by Robbie Williams. E' stato confermato che l'inaugurazione dello stadio di Wembley avverrà in occasione del concerto dei Muse il prossimo 16 giugno. Alcuni voci indicano una probabile esibizione live di Robbie Williams nella settimana precedente, il 9 giugno.
Ma la programmazione degli eventi non è ancora stata del tutto stilata, l'organizzazione resta in attesa delle conferme delle partite di calcio.

No rules, no big commercial music videos, just amazing ideas that deserved to be put onto film. This idea quickly developed into one of this year's most exiting projects for everybody involved.
And here we are, from Tuesady, 5 dicember, Channel four will be showing a few of the films that were created. See the schedule below for when to catch them. But, if you're an Inner Sanctum subscriber, you're in for an even bigger trat; The Official Site gives you an exclusive premiere!
From yesterday night you can watch the seven films, one a day, culminating with the grand finale on Thursday when will be showed all of them to everyone. Just visit the Inner Sanctum exclusive on the Official site Home Page.

Solo pochi mesi fa Robbie ha lanciato una grande idea: lasciare che originali produttori dessero sfogo alla propria fantasia e si lasciassero ispirare da alcune delle canzoni contenute nell'album Rudebox per la creazione di alcuni cortometraggi. Nessuna regola, nessun video commerciale, solo idee brillanti che si meritavano di essere tramutate in filmati. Quest'idea è presto diventata uno dei progetti più eccitanti dell'anno per tutti coloro che hanno deciso di farne parte.
A partire dal 5 Dicembre, Channel 4 trasmetterà questi progetti (potete leggere sopra il programma), ma se siete membri dell'Inner Sanctum non perdetevi l'esclusiva che vi offre il sito ufficiale!
