The Wait is over. Robbie’s ear-clobbering version of The Kinks’ 1970 hit Lola is finally here for you to listen to. And you can stream it away to your heart’s content for a whole week. We’re running an exclusive steam of the track only on RobbieWilliams.com until midnight October 7. Robbie is one of the 40 artists who’ve recorded a song for Radio 1 Established 1967 to celebrate BBC Radio 1’s 40th anniversary. Robbie plays LA

Robbie Williams made a surprise return to the live stage in Los Angeles last night, appearing as a guest star with Mark Ronson. The super-producer's first ever headline appearance, at the El Rey Theatre, featured a series of other collaborators, performing a number of his reworked classics. Boston rapper Tiggers, Santogold and Alex Greenwald of Phantom Planet, LA songbird Nikka Costa and Daniel Merriweather all turned out. However, it was the appearance of the UK icon, who now lives in LA, which came as the greatest surprise, playing with Ronson and his seven-piece band. According to the NME, Robbie ran through a lively version of The Charlatans' "The Only One I Know" at the show, receiving a rapturous reception.

Robbie si esibisce ad L.A.

Robbie Williams ha stupito tutti con un inaspettato ritorno sul palco la scorsa notte a Los Angeles come ospite al concerto di Mark Ronson. Il super prduttore si è esibito la scorsa notte al El Rey Theatre accompagnato da diversi artisti che hanno interpretato i suoi remake dei grandi classici. Tra i tanti erano presenti il rapper Tiggers, Santogold e Daniel Merriweather. La performance che però, più di tutti ha entusiasmato il pubblico è stata quella della pop star inglese che ha interpretato la hit dei The Charlatand "The only one I know" facendo impazzire tutti i suoi ascoltatori!

Ronson Williams, working togheter again?

Mark Ronson has revealed that he has started working with Robbie Williams again on material for his next album.
The DJ, who previously worked with Williams on some of his songs for the Rudebox LP, has visited the singer to work out the sound of his new tracks.
Ronson told Star magazine: "Robbie and I have been talking a lot about his next album and I’ve played him a couple of tracks of mine that he liked. One of the tracks had a southern blues/guitar slide on it.
"Everyone I’ve worked with - from Robbie to Lily Allen and Amy (Winehouse) - like to experiment and challenge themselves, which I feed off.
"The songs I’ve re-done need to have a good tempo to do what I do. And they have to be delivered by someone who doesn’t pull any punches."

Robbie e Ronson, una nuova collaborazione?

Mark Ronson ha rivelato che ha ricominciato a lavorare con Robbie Williams a del nuovo materiale per il suo prossimo album. 
Il DJ che ha precedentemente lavorato con Williams per alcune canzoni del suo album RUdebox, ha fatto visita al cantante per studiare il sound delle sue nuove canzoni.
Ronson ha rivelato alla rivista Star: "Robbie ed io abbiamo parlato molto a proposito del suo prossimo album e gli ho fatto ascoltare un paio di mie tracce che gli sono piaciute."
Una di queste ha delle sonorità di chitarra in stile blues.
Tutti quelli con cui ho lavorato - da Robbie a Lily Allen e Amy WInehouse - sono persone a cui piace sperimentare e mettersi in gioco, ed io ne aprofitto.
Le canzoni che ho reintrepretato devono avere un buon ritmo per fare quello che intendo io. E devono essere itnerpretate da qualcuno che le prenda alla leggera.
